After graduating from Mississippi State and serving stateside during Desert Shield, Cordell launched his career at Driven Brands, quickly taking on key roles in operations, business systems, customer relations, and training.
 
Following a stint overseeing internal training for Driven Brands, Cordell founded Tortal Training.  In 2021, Cordell joined Biggby Coffee for three years, further honing his expertise.
 
Today, Cordell teaches at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, sharing insights from decades of hands-on experience in franchising and business growth.
